About IBS
Irritable Bowel Syndrome involves chronic recurring abdominal pain and is usually associated with diarrhea and/or constipation. It can also involve feelings of cramping, gassiness, and bloating. It affects about 10% to 15% of the population. These symptoms can come and go, and they can range from mild to quite severe. In its severe form, IBS can have an enormous impact on a person’s life, relationships, ability to sleep, work, socialize, or even leave the house. It is a complex medical condition with no known organic cause in most cases and no known cure. Often people are able to manage and reduce their symptoms with dietary and lifestyle changes, and sometimes with medication as well.
It is important to talk with your doctor if you're having IBS-like symptoms because other conditions need to be ruled out before doing any hypnotherapy for IBS.
